As I recall, this league played only on the weekends, the theory being that the players would need other jobs during the week (in recognition of how low WPBL pay was) and that weeknight games were not likely to be big draws in any event. This would belong in the article IMO if someone has documentary evidence of it (such as perhaps the mentioned book, which I have not yet seen). Rlquall 04:33, 18 August 2006 (UTC)Reply

Rlquall I checked further and see a reference on page 202 (Mad Seasons) about playing seven games in nine days. Too bad, it would have been an interesting anecdote, but appears not to be the case.--S Philbrick(Talk) 23:09, 8 May 2014 (UTC)Reply
