Article does not explain how the two polarisations are split; eg is it due to total internal reflection of just one polarisation at the internal interface ? - Rod57 (talk) 10:57, 17 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
No. You can see in the diagram that the two polarizations are both transmitted through the internal interface, but with different angles of refraction. The Glan polarizing prisms work by TIR at the internal interface. (See links in article).--Srleffler (talk) 01:01, 18 September 2016 (UTC)Reply
