The see-also link to misogynoir edit

This link is evidently implying that misogynoir was evident in this case. Isn't that POV on Wikipedia, unless sources are provided? 2A00:23C5:FE0C:2100:813:B949:960D:D93C (talk) 22:26, 27 December 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sources edit

Just noting I went through the 38 hits on Google Scholar [1] and anything with significant coverage I added to the further reading section with links to the PDF, WP:TWL, or archives. They should all be accessible to all editors. Levivich (talk) 19:05, 7 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Title edit

Kizer herself is a victim of a crime, something the DA prosecuting her acknowledged as being without doubt, so the title is ambiguous. But also we don't typically name articles based on the name of the accused, or even convicted. I think this should be titled Killing of Randy Volar, but I could be convinced of some other name as most of the story is on Kizer. Thoughts? nableezy - 20:13, 8 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

State v. Kizer is my suggestion. What's notable about this topic is the affirmative defense raised in the murder case, not the murder or trafficking itself. This is an article about a legal issue, and that's what all the scholarship is focused on (although the news media covers all the blow by blow detail). The facts of the case are only relevant insofar as they bear on the legal dispute. That's my take on it anyway. (Also the infobox should be infobox court case instead of event.) Alternatively, Wisconsin v. Kizer which further disambiguates, but I think the common name of the court case is "State v. Kizer" (also the official short name). Would do Wisconsin, not State, but otherwise fine with that. Want to just do it or make a move request? nableezy - 19:19, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
I'm happy to just do it. If somebody objects it'll be easy to reverse, if no one objects, we save an RM. Levivich (talk) 19:20, 9 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Lead sentence edit

@Nableezy: (or anyone else reading this) does the lead sentence make sense or is it awkward? What do you think of the framing/details? Levivich (talk) 05:59, 10 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

OK I think that's all the vandalism I have for now. Levivich (talk) 02:43, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
