Translation of party name
The page now is titled Alliance for progress and awakening while the media in English have used the translation Alliance for progress and renewal, which this page previously was titled. Can I request evidence of why this new translation is more correct than the likes of the BBC (http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-33593741) for instance.Lacunae (talk) 08:43, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
- Secondarily, is the choice of Fortschritt, which is directly translated as Fremskritt likely coincidental or not vis the Norwegian Fremskrittspartiet?Lacunae (talk) 09:12, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
- I have reverted it to the common name in the English language, citing WP:COMMONNAME. It is not for Wikipedia users to invent a translation of a party name when one already is in common usage.--Autospark (talk) 10:45, 21 July 2015 (UTC)
