last paragraph edit

what is the intention of adding this last paragraph to the article?

Dookeran owes every significant national appointment to former Trinidad and Tobago Prime Minister Basdeo Panday who first made him a Member of Parlaiment in 1981 then again in 1986 and 2002. In 1997 Basdeo Panday appointed Dookeran as the Govenor of the Central Bank of Trinidad and Tobago.

Is this to insinuate that Mr. Dookeran is ungrateful? It seems odd that the addition of this paragraph comes only in the days after he forms his own political party.

In any case, it isn't strictly correct to say that Mr. Panday made him a member of parliament on any of the three occasions referenced. In 1981 and 2002 he was a candidate for parties that were headed by Mr. Panday, but it was the electorate that made him a member of Parliament. In 1986, Mr. Panday wasn't even the leader of the party whose platform Mr. Dookeran was running on, he was Deputy Leader. In any event, it was again the electorate that made Mr. Dookeran a member of parliament.

Anyhow, no hard feelings. I was just wondering what the motive behind the addition was.
