Perhaps I'm splitting hairs, but I don't think it's quite accurate to say that Winona is "formerly Middleton". Middleton is/was an extinct town West of the location that became the original Winona. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.254.16.200 (talk) 13:13, 22 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

You're not splitting hairs. This is something that needed to be taken into consideration. When I get around to it, I will create a separate page for Middleton. Thanks for the suggestion. Jwh335 (talk) 03:15, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

The write up about Winona's history is horribly written and I would appreciate it if someone could clean it up if they have the time. If I am able to get around to it, I'll do it myself. However, I don't know when that will be.

About the civil rights violence.. I'm not sure where that information came from or anything. Jwh335 (talk) 03:32, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

I removed the painting of downtown winona and the grocery man. If anyone has more relevant images to the article, I'd appreciate if you could add them. Jwh335 (talk) 03:37, 21 December 2008 (UTC)Reply

Curtis Flowers?

edit

There is no mention of the Curtis Flowers murder. I read that he was tried six times or so and keeps being retried. The saga has been reported in Europe. Anyone from Winona heard of this?Suomi Finland 2009 (talk) 22:20, 26 November 2009 (UTC)Reply

Yes. I know people who were eyewitnesses to the murders.
