WTH?
edit"This market channel to selling software can be compared to other payment online and then download the purchased software or ebook." If I knew what that meant, I'd fix it. GMcGath 21:13, 30 March 2006 (UTC)
Criticism
editThey take AGES in confirming orders, my order has been "Purchase is currently being reviewed." for about a week... - Gunnar Guðvarðarson (My Talk) 23:18, 27 February 2008 (UTC)
---Also doesn't seem to work well if you are upgrading from Home Premium to Ultimate. Something tells me Microsoft has drones that delete all criticism from this site. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 137.113.48.2 (talk) 22:07, 6 October 2008 (UTC)
Discontinuation
edit"On 14 November 2008, Microsoft announced that the Digital Locker will be shut down in 2009. Windows Marketplace will be drastically scaled back." Ive just had a text message on my cell stating closure next August. -- RND T C 00:52, 11 December 2008 (UTC)
Move
editShouldn't this page be moved to Windows Marketplace? SharkD (talk) 20:21, 6 January 2009 (UTC)
- I was thinking the same thing when I came across this page. The article's subject was "Digital locker" at first but now it's "Windows Marketplace." I don't know what either of them are, so I don't know what to do in this situation. Perhaps one term is broader than the other, so the article can be named after the broader term with the article mentioning the "smaller" one. I'm going to bring this up at WP:COMP or WP:HELPDESK. ~EdGl (talk) 18:44, 9 March 2009 (UTC)
removing digital locker redirect
editIt seems this has become a general computing term now. I actually had never heard of the MS service by this name. So I am going to create a disambiguation page: one for the old name of this store and the other for the (little "d") 'digital locker' term used to refer to cloud/internet storage. As soon as I figure out how that is. Feel free to drop a line on my talk page if anyone has a problem or wants to help. Beakermeep(talk) 17:40, 29 August 2014 (UTC)
