Move discussion in progress edit

There is a move discussion in progress on Talk:IOS version history which affects this page. Please participate on that page and not in this talk page section. Thank you. —RMCD bot 17:48, 23 December 2022 (UTC)Reply

The information provided here is wrong. KB502282 is actually OLDER (jan 10, build 2486) than KB5019275 (Jan 19, build 2546). Don't believe me? check this out: https://support.microsoft.com/es-es/topic/historial-de-actualizaciones-de-windows-10-8127c2c6-6edf-4fdf-8b9f-0f7be1ef3562 — Preceding unsigned comment added by 190.45.171.35 (talk) 03:12, 31 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

New table under Dev Channel edit

@Xiejunmingsa Should we create a separate table for the new 23xxx build? Their content is not based on the previous 25xxx builds but rather on the latest 22xxx builds, with the latest blog posts laying out all differences between latest 22xxx and first 23xxx. Version 22H2 edit

Windows 11 Version 22H2 now has its own article; So, its version history is not needed in this article anymore and a link to the new article should be added. ŇƗΜŘØỮ Đ€ŁΔỮŘ€ŇŦƗŞ (TALK) 07:01, 9 March 2023 (UTC)Reply

@KCCian24 On that note - I did a bold split of that section per Wikipedia:NOTCHANGELOG. We can't just exhaustively log every single release and changes to that release as doing so would cause the article to get too long. So instead we can just spin off each release provided that they meet Wikipedia's notability guidelines. Aasim - Herrscher of Wikis ❄️ 14:07, 21 April 2023 (UTC)Reply
@Edgardo Aurellano and @Asdasf asdas do you care to explain the reason why you reverted my WP:BOLD split? Aasim - Herrscher of Wikis ❄️ 15:25, 23 April 2023 (UTC)Reply

Windows 24H1, yes, no 24H2: second half hasn't arrived yet edit

Hi, wikiadmins!

Windows 24H1, yes, no 24H2: second half hasn't arrived yet.

Which world are you living in? There hasn't been a YYH1 release since 21H1; It's only YYH2 release since 21H2. 𝓥𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓪𝓷24𝓑𝓲𝓸 (ᴛᴀʟᴋ) 15:07, 16 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

Propose split edit

The article is getting very long again. There was consensus on Windows 10 version history to split all but the most current or so versions to keep the article size manageable. I think we should do the same as well; I think most of these versions pass WP:GNG. Else this article risks edging on WP:NOTCHANGELOG. Awesome Aasim 07:22, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply

I'd agree with you. 𝓥𝓮𝓼𝓽𝓻𝓲𝓪𝓷24𝓑𝓲𝓸 (ᴛᴀʟᴋ) 07:33, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Thinking about it more, 90% of the article is just WP:NOTCHANGELOG violating tables and text. It probably is salvageable, removing all the exhaustive changelog tables and text should not be too hard. We can summarize each version, etc. Ah, Windows as a Service is messy... Awesome Aasim 07:35, 27 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Support. Yeah, let's split the article. Enperfectify World (talk) 07:26, 29 February 2024 (UTC)Reply
Support. The article is becoming unwieldy and difficult manage mentally. Has the split begun, or should I take the lead? CC: @Awesome Aasim, @Enperfectify World, @Vestrian24Bio.
