PROD concern stated as "Not notable, not enough sources for an article of substance. He is mentioned enough in sources, but's that all. His name is mentioned in articles about Buddy Bolden but there's little or nothing about him."
I have added some sources and information, and there is more information in some of the sources. One, Fallen Heroes: A History of New Orleans Brass Bands[1], shows results about Willie Cornish on 11 pages, but only snippets are available online. This source should be checked for more information, and for its sources, before deciding on this person's notability. I also note that these sources state that Cornish was interviewed in the 1930s by several people - William Russell, Charles Edward Smith, and E. Belfield Spriggins. The first two published a book, Jazzmen, in 1939, and the latter published an article in the Louisiana Weekly in 1933 (this is all in Jazz Transatlantic, Volume I: The African Undercurrent in Twentieth-Century Jazz Culture). Those sources also should be sought and checked for information about Cornish.
Then, if Cornish is still thought not to warrant an article of his own, information about him should be included in another article, probably Eureka_Brass_Band#Eureka_Brass_Band_(New_Orleans), which does not mention him at all - and/or in the article Buddy Bolden, which names Cornish and links to this article.
