editI removed the misstatement that this county has more sites on the National Register of Historic Places than any other county outside the state of Virginia. The source actually seems to have made that statement, but is nonetheless wrong.
- "Thanks to the Foundation, more than 150 Williamson County properties are on the National Register of Historic Places, more than in any Tennessee County, more in fact, than any place outside of Virginia."
Actually there are 133 properties listed, with 4 more having been delisted, see National Register of Historic Places listings in Williamson County, Tennessee
Philadelphia County, PA has about 525. Cook County, IL has over 300 in Chicago alone. For a more rural comparison, Lancaster County, PA has 202. And there are many others. Smallbones (talk) 05:05, 13 January 2011 (UTC)
