Is it just me, or is the lead image a complete waste of time? Might be more useful at Rorschach test? Martinevans123 (talk) 13:33, 30 September 2024 (UTC)Reply

Unclear points

edit

There are several unclear points in this article that are probably easy to clarify for someone familiar with the literature on this case:

  • Most importantly: There were two separate killing sprees several years apart - if Unek was identified as the perpetrator of the first case in 1954 (which he clearly was, otherwise the article doesn't make sense) how was he still free in 1957 and even worked as a policeman? If somehow the connection between the two cases was only discovered after Unek's death then this should be mentioned.
  • The first case happened in what was then Belgian Congo. According to the article, he escaped and "ended up in the Tanganyika Territory". It looks as if Mwanza, where the second case occurred, was part of Tanganyika in 1954. So this would be where he escaped to. But this should be made clear in the article for those who are not familiar with the geography and political history of Tanzania.
  • Unek worked as a policeman in Tanganyika. Was he a policeman in Belgian Congo as well? This source (p. 30) suggests this. But this would pose even more questions.
