Date verifications needed edit
The dates given for offices at the Asiatic society don't agree with those shown in the Centenary review. There are two W. Hunters mentioned in that work. The earlier Dr. William Hunter (subject of this article) evidently had interest in botany and astronomy and was secretary of that society. The other, William Wilson Hunter (1840-1900) was a prolific writer, gazetteer, biographer, translator, lexicographer, etc. LeadSongDog come howl! 18:19, 9 March 2015 (UTC)
