Book removal edit

The book Hunting Rhymes (1927) cannot be validated as being published and/or associated with Will H. OGILVIE, and will be removed shortly in the article revision. Q8682 (talk) 04:52, 23 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Copyright of works edit

Be aware global copyright exists for OGILVIE's works by a descendant, hence why individual pages of his better known or studied work have not been reproduced on this page or separate pages. Photographs on other hand used from the National Library of Australia, and have expired copyright Q8682 (talk) 13:26, 27 October 2017 (UTC)Reply

Forthcoming revision – December 2017 edit

The next revision will add more information about OGILVIE's life. In the current article, Breaker's Mate : Will Ogilvie in Australia (1996) is actually a book about OGILVIE written by John MEREDITH.

Also the reference 'A formal portrait of OGILVIE posing with his miniature fox terrier hangs in the National Library of Australia in Canberra' is erroneous. It is a photograph on file, not a portrait, not framed and presented.

[NLA] I have searched the library's catalogue and found a photo of Will Ogilvie and a fox terrier, it is called Portrait of Will Ogilvie [picture] / R. Jack The dimensions and collection details are all provided on the catalogue record. There is no mention on the catalogue record of it being currently on display in the library and usually if collection material is on display it would be noted on the catalogue record. It also isn't listed on our building art page or the Treasures Gallery exhibition list.
