Mathematician stubs edit

William Edwin Hamilton was not a mathematician; in his later life he was a journalist, editor, and author. The article is therefore not a mathematician stub. Next to what he wrote himself, what has been given in Wayman, and the discussion about him and his family in Van Weerden, seems to be about everything that is known about him. Planter's daughter edit

According to World Catelogue there are only two library copies of Scenes in the Life of a Planter's Daughter (1865), one in Edinburgh and one in Cambridge. It is apparently but 20 pages and perhaps is a collection of observations after the trip with aunt Sydney to Nicaragua. Wm Edwin left little else to tell of that trip.
