Anyone want to try writing this? This guy is at least as important as Karl Rove. He has been doing a lot of pioneering and influential work on language manipulation in political campaigning. For instance, only a tiny minority of people in large, scientific surveys in the U.S. minded that there was an inheritance tax until after Lutz did repeated and minutely examined focus-group testing that produced the phrase "death tax". When this phrase was used in surveys, a majority of those surveyed were opposed to it. George W. Bush's first presidential campaign quickly made opposition to "the death tax" a fairly prominent feature of the campaign. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.17.65.50 (talkcontribs) at 10:00, 19 July 2005
