Apologies if this is clearly incorrect, but is there a prospect this Willem Jacobszoon Coster, Governor in 1640, is the same person as the little-known privateer Willem Jacobszoon from 1625 referred to in the article on Pieter Schouten? It is most likely just a coincidence of name, but it does seem surprising there were two people of similar name in authority positions in the same time, same place, on behalf of the same nation.
