The article states that Junker received "the gold medal" from the RGS in 1887, but Gold Medal (RGS) lists different recipients for that year, and does not list Junker for any other year, nor does either article indicate which of the several RGS gold medals he is supposed to have been awarded. Something is wrong here somewhere, but there's no direct source for the assertion to begin with, so it's difficult to track down. Similarly, ("Junker, Wilhelm" .
