Essay edit

This article looks like an essay - not Wikipedia. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 70.55.143.206 (talk) 04:25, 28 September 2008 (UTC)Reply

I know. The references should be moved to the References section. This is an encyclopedia, not a university assignment. --Hillcrest98 (talk) 15:19, 14 January 2012 (UTC)Reply

Hello fellow Wikipedians,

I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Wildlife crossing. Please take a moment to review my edit. If necessary, add {{cbignore}} after the link to keep me from modifying it. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}} to keep me off the page altogether. I made the following changes:

Wildlife redirects edit

Rather than wildlife crossings, do wildlife redirects not exist as well (and if so, shouldn't they be mentioned here) ? I'm thinking for instance on redirects for Hawksbill sea turtle hatchlings, which travel in the direction of the most light to find their way to sea. See also: this link

Similar to say a fish ladder, the idea with redirects is not to allow them to cross a barrier, but rather redirect them to the area they suppose to be going to in the first place. For the Hawksbill sea turtle, something like a "Sea turtle water slide" can be made by simply making a ditch along the promenade into which the hatchlings would fall into. Water can then wash them into the sea. The water can be pumped from and back towards the sea using a pump, which for instance can only be made to work during nighttime-morning. The pump can be powered by a battery, recharged by a small solar panel. KVDP (talk) 16:37, 12 January 2017 (UTC)Reply

Lifespan edit

What is a typical lifespan? Bridges tend to last only 50-80 years or so. Could be a time when these things start falling down without billions in repairs. -- GreenC 03:08, 7 December 2023 (UTC)Reply
