Thandi's surname edit

is Nomas's surname the same surname Thandi has ?

if so, it should be put down as whatever nomsas surname is - as Nomsa is Thandis mother (i think)

Isn't she Nomsa's niece?--NeilEvans 19:58, 28 February 2007 (UTC)Reply

Details edit

Shouldn't this article have an episode list with information about each episode and the new logo? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.19.126.132 (talk) 18:43, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

The episode list can be found here though may be the link could be made more prominent in the article itself. Keith D (talk) 00:18, 17 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Just been watching an episode of wild at Heart with the subtitles on and they came up, after a burst of local dialect as, speaks in Swahili. I don't think so. I would say that there would be very few Swahili speakers in that area of South Africa. Filming edit

Where was the series filmed? I live in South Africa but have never seen teh series - or even heard of it for that matter. One wonders how true to Africa it is. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 41.185.99.24 (talk) 09:15, 17 March 2010 (UTC) It was filmed in the area of the Hartebeespoortdam. Its really very good and yes, true to Africa! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 49.227.53.93 (talk) 21:23, 23 February 2011 (UTC)Reply

Copy edit and the rewrite section tag edit

This article had two major problems:

  • Name-dropping: on a fan site, you can refer to characters and places on the assumption that fans will know who and what they are, but an encyclopedia article needs to be understandable to people who haven't seen the series of even heard of it. This article keeps on naming people and things without explaining their role. For example, it keeps on talking about Du Plessis, but who is he or she? The cast list names at least 5 people called Du Plessis -- and doesn't say who any of them are.
  • Tedious detail: Details of who falls in and out of love with whom, who works at whose bar, and so on, may be interesting when you see them in the television program and can identify with the characters, but they are a complete bore to read about in print. An encyclopedia article doesn't need such details.

I've done what I can to edit the syopses into summary style, but am completely defeated by the section on series 7, which is garbled, breathless, and far too detailed. Please don't re-tag for copy editing; it needs rewriting from scratch. --Stfg (talk) 16:28, 2 September 2012 (UTC)Reply

Pending an eventual from-scratch rewrite by an adventurous individual, I've taken a stab at summarizing the season from the existing copy, a somewhat soul crushing endeavor. It's therefore a bit choppy, but it brings this season's synopsis somewhat in line with the others. I haven't seen this series, so I can't offer a fresh take on the summary, alas.

Ratings edit

Whoever is changing the viewer ratings for the Finale Special, please don't change them again. Wikipedia guidelines state that content must be verifiable. The only verifiable source of ratings for UK TV shows is the data at http://barb.co.uk. If you go to http://www.barb.co.uk/viewing/weekly-top-30 and choose from the drop-down menus the correct year (2012), the correct month (December), and the correct week (Dec 24 - Dec 30), then look under the section for ITV1, you will see clearly that the final published, consolidated ratings for the Wild at Heart Finale Special were 6.04 Million viewers. The ratings published in one news article that were much higher were not accurate and should not be used in this Wikipedia article. As much as fans of the show want the ratings to be higher, they simply weren't, and there's nothing anyone can do about that. Wild at Heart went out on a high note, and we should all be satisfied with that -- the cast is satisfied, after all. Ellietr (talk) 02:33, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

As many times as an anonymous user continues to change the ratings for the Finale Special to a highly inflated and inaccurate number, I will change them back to the official ratings of 6.04M viewers, as reported by BARB.CO.UK (see above). Please stop. There's no point. I communicated with the author of the blog article who posted the inflated ratings; he acknowledged that he did not have a verifiable source for the number he published. He took it from a Facebook post and just assumed it was accurate because he didn't know about the official BARB ratings. If you continue essentially vandalising this page, your IP address will be reported to Wikipedia and you may be blocked from further edits. Ellietr (talk) 02:33, 8 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Where is the disambiguation page? edit

Why is there no disambiguation page to help guide people to find the extremely popular book?

Thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.58.239.27 (talk) 01:06, 12 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

There is a dab page at Wild at Heart. Keith D (talk) 01:00, 14 May 2013 (UTC)Reply
