Request for Deletion edit

I appreciate that the concept of Wiki applications aren't well known at present and it may be difficult to find references to them. But this doesn't mean that they don't exist. Here is one such example: http://www.jot.com/gallery/

I have therefore removed the request for deletion tag.

Agreed, I think the page stands fine as it is. The editor seems to be confused and should re-read. Though perhaps this topic could expand the definition slightly. Contrarian editors might consider that the concept being discussed is analagous to the Wiki Platform acting like an Operating System, where end users have not just a set of data as many wikis stop at, but a slew of scripts, macros and plugins that can be used as building blocks to build "applications". These "applications" can also be viewed and copied by others and included in their wiki's, either in an ad-hoc copy, or by download if it's been bundled as downloadable component.

This is a core concept in wiki's such as TWiki and Foswiki. Given that the two are used by a substantial number of fortune 500 companies, I wouldn't think it that rarified a concept. If anything it's actually almost too obvious to need to talk about, and yet it's such a potentially huge wiki differentiator, and a huge point to make a wiki selection decision around.
