– Both team names have changed. Moving these pages reflects more accurate and updated information recently added to both articles. --Relisted Cúchullain t/c 15:38, 28 November 2012 (UTC) D-Day (talk) 18:11, 30 October 2012 (UTC)
Can't move Whitney to Phil Parsons Racing, as that was the previous name for the previously moved MSRP Motorsports. Humphrey Smith Racing redirects to TriStar Motorsports. Gaeaman787 (talk) 20:30, 3 November 2012 (UTC)
- What I'm saying is that the redirects need to be fixed. It would involve some deleting/merging, but this the way to make everything technically correct. --D-Day (talk) 01:47, 6 November 2012 (UTC)
- Oppose. The Whitney Motorsports article, for example, should remain and be restored to describe the team by that name (which no longer exists). These proposed moves would just make an already tangled history worse. Andrewa (talk) 16:55, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
- The tangled history comes from the fact that the original moves weren't handled properly. Unless these articles are moved as proposed above, they will reflect inaccurate facts. --D-Day (talk) 14:17, 9 November 2012 (UTC)
- We know a few things:
1. Phil Parsons bought out Whitney Motorsports' equipment and split from Randy Humphrey to form Phil Parsons Racing. In effect, Whitney became PPR. In conclusion, there should be a new article for PPR in order to leave Whitney Motorsports' page in existence 2. Randy Humphrey teamed up with Mark Smith to form Humphrey Smith. That could be argued as an offshoot of MSRP.
