Hello. I’m Lafayette Harris Jr. I was a teenager when I met Mr. Williams. His son Tom Williams is a few years older than I. I’ve had the pleasure of playing with them both. I met them through my association with CHARLES FUNN, Who was my high school band teacher at Baltimore Polytechnic Institute.
I remember doing a gig in the summer of 1985 where I carried my Fender Rhodes suitcase piano. It’s two very heavy pieces. We played at the Woodstock on Park Heights Avenue in North West Baltimore, not far from my house I grew up in. At
