Multiple Citation Problems

edit

This article has only two citations, and neither of which tell half the information in this article. There is a lack of inline citations as well. Can we clean up this article a bit?

Renegade

edit

"One of the last games released by Westwood, Command & Conquer: Renegade (an action game which mixed elements from first-person shooters and real-time strategy games) failed to meet consumer expectations and commercial goals Westwood and EA had set for it." Absolutely wrong as proved by http://www.next-gen.biz/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=3695&Itemid=2&limit=1&limitstart=2 number 79 of the best selling games of the 21st century, could someone remove this please. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 81.157.233.167 (talk) 22:30, 7 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

Renegade was going to be such a great game, just look at the old beta game assets and screenshots. EA had to ruin it, like they ruined TS and RA2. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 99.244.250.215 (talk) 00:38, 17 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Where did the blue Logo come from?

The blue logo is from the intro animation of Dune II

My first

edit

I just wanted to state that this was perhaps my first RTS gamemaker company, thank you for introducing me! :-)

MONOPOLY GAME

edit

Westwood also did a CD version of Parker Brother's MONOPOLY game, which was distributed by Virgin Interactive Entertainment back in 1995. It was licensed by Parker Brothers, which is now a Division of Tonka Corporation. - SSG Cornelius Seon (Retired) 18:14, 28 July 2007 (UTC)Reply

Ya, I own that game, it says Westwood Studios on the case and the multiplayer is Westwood Chat which is a online gaming service similar to Westwood Online (only a lot older and kinda run down).--4.245.79.41 (talk) 16:20, 23 August 2008 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Westwoodgreen.PNG

edit

Image:Westwoodgreen.PNG is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Discrepancy with final Westwood Employee leaving

edit

According to the main paragraph "The last former Westwood employee quit working for Electronic Arts after the release of Command & Conquer: Generals in 2003."

Whereas in the second-to-last paragraph in the "History" section states "The last Westwood employee quit after the release of Command & Conquer: Renegade." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Wolfscopez (talkcontribs) 02:52, 18 September 2015 (UTC)Reply

Moved to Westwood Pacific and found a source in a Gamasutra interview. Matthias M. (talk) 17:36, 25 September 2017 (UTC)Reply
