Reference edit

birds.suite101.com/article.cfm/the_glace_bay_western_reef_heron seems to be triggering the spam filter, which is annoying because it's the best reference for the Canadian sightings. Can anyone fix this?

Can someone help me with the source reference mentioned in Christidis and Boles as "McCracken and Sheldon (2002) found no difference between nominate garzetta and schistaceus using cytochrome-b sequence data". This does not appear to be listed in the references. Shyamal (talk) 04:08, 16 April 2013 (UTC)Reply

I found a reference here to: McCracken, K.G. & Sheldon, F.H. 2002. Phylogeny of the herons of the world. Abstract, North American Ornithological Conference, New Orleans, LA, USA. Maias (talk) 05:07, 16 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
That seems to be right. Thanks a lot for finding that despite my failure to mention the context which was Egretta gularis! Shyamal (talk) 07:54, 16 April 2013 (UTC)Reply
No response from Dr McCracken. Cannot find the sequences for gularis / schistacea on any of the gene sequence databases either although garzetta is partly available. Shyamal (talk)
