mergefrom Run a locomotive

edit

An editor has suggested that Run a locomotive be merged into this article. Since it looks like that's already been done, I'm going ahead with a delete redirect on the subarticle. Slambo (Speak) 18:29, 29 September 2006 (UTC) Doh! I meant redirect. Slambo (Speak) 18:30, 29 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lassen Volcanic National Park?

edit

"Lassen Volcanic National Park is nearby." - This is pretty random. If it said "The WPRM is near the Lassen Volcanic National Park" it would make sense, but right now it looks like someone's just making a plug for the LVNP. PhirePhly (Speak) 05:38, 10 October 2006 (UTC)Reply

Someone tried to link a blog, but it was reversed. Was it reversed because blogs can't / shouldn't be linked, or because the link was bad? I found the blog at http://wprrsteam.blogspot.com/ and it's interesting and relevant to the Museum. I'm not the one who added the link and I'm not associated with the Museum. Anyone know about this? It was a bot that removed the link. From what I understand though for some links to be considered valid you have to get it approved first (reviewed by an admin.) and added to to the spam whitelist. They probably have had too many problems with blogger pages in the past and now bots just remove them on sight if they aren't on the whitelist. Lando242 (talk) 11:12, 11 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
OK, are you an admin? How do we contact an admin? Thanks. MikeVdP (talk) 05:36, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
I'm not, but after some checking I don't think we need one. Basically, blogs are normally not considered link-worthy by Wikipedia (see here), but since its being run by the organization in question I think they will allow it. Anyway, at the bots rules page it says you can just re-added the info if you think its removal was not warranted, which I have done.Lando242 (talk) 13:20, 12 September 2008 (UTC)Reply
