Separate pages for each station edit

Would it make sense to have a page for each station? I would be happy to set up Surfermoon 19:20, 3 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

Hi Surfermoon, I have done this for the stations of the L&B, linking the stations, where appropriate, to both the railway and the town(village) served. The naming protocol is to name the article Placename railway station, and to add a previous-next station route infobox, each station to the following, as per Woody Bay railway station (although ignore the Perchance... bit - I may have to adjust the image layouts!). Feel free to use that as a starting point,as many of the categories etc. will also apply. If I can be of any further help, just ask. Regards, Lynbarn 20:17, 3 September 2006 (UTC)Reply

D2205 edit

Can anyone confirm the present whereabouts of D2205? Is it still at the WSR? This source claims it is. Mjroots (talk) 17:27, 3 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Locomotives edit

There have been several recent edits and reversals of the list of locomotives. Some were added on September 17 that appear to not be on the railway (but are scheduled to attend a gala event in a couple of weeks time), they were then removed by an anonymous editor, and then replaced another editor with the comment of "unexplained and unsourced removal of several locos from active list".

As none of the locomotives on this page are cited, this seems to be a bit harsh! But as we are creeping into the realms of WP:CRYSTAL (scheduled future events should only be included if the event is notable) and WP:CITE (any material challenged or likely to be challenged should be attributed to a reliable, published source), I tend to agree that they should not be here. I think that a lot of information in this list is out of date and the whole lot should be checked carefully and rsources cited. For instance, didn't the DMU Iris 2 leave Dunster and the railway some time ago? Geof Sheppard (talk) 12:56, 23 September 2009 (UTC)Reply

List of closed railway stations in Britain edit

I have noticed that the stations on this line are not listed when they were closed by BR. Most other stations closed by BR but subsequently reopened by Heritage Railways are shown.[[Steamybrian2 (talk) 19:11, 24 November 2009 (UTC)]]Reply

Merger proposal edit

I propose that West Somerset Steam Railway Trust be merged into West Somerset Railway. I think that the content in the West Somerset Steam Railway Trust article can easily be explained in the context of West Somerset Railway (it is already included in the Heritage organisations section), and the West Somerset Railway article is of a reasonable size that the merging of West Somerset Steam Railway Trust will not cause any problems as far as article size or undue weight is concerned. — Rod talk 13:34, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply

Can't say I have any problem with that. -mattbuck (Talk) 14:49, 20 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
As there were no objections I have now done the merge.— Rod talk 16:12, 27 October 2015 (UTC)Reply
