Name change to Nigeria Airways edit
I think the name was changed to Nigeria Airways after independence in 1960. My father worked for WAAC in Nigeria from 1958 to 1960; it wasn't called Nigeria Airways at that time. Torve (talk) 11:36, 30 November 2008 (UTC)
I've now amended the text and added three external links to other Web sites with supporting evidence. Torve (talk) 11:36, 1 December 2008 (UTC)
- I'm still not completely convinced about this. The 1962 Nigeria Year Book says: "WAAC was dissolved on September 30, 1958 and resurrected in this part of the West Coast with the new name, "Nigeria Airways" on October 1, 1958, inheriting the assets and liabilities of the old WAAC". I'll do some more research on this, though. I don't see any evidence that the airline's name change corresponded directly with Nigeria's independence, so I changed the last paragraph to avoid claiming a precise date until we can find one.
