Nice Touch

edit
  • I am very surprised that the Rio Grande Valley, much less the hWISD, is included in the Wikipedia pages.
  • Further I like that the various schools, (many of which I attended) are listed in these pages.
edit
  • The above having been said, I have noticed that there are still some pages with either broken links, or redirected links to erroneous destinations.
edit
  • The first thing I noticed was that my alma mater had a broken/missing link.
    • Of course I'm speaking of Weslaco High School (WHS)
      • This being the case, after clicking on the link, I decided to (as my profile reads): be bold -

This user is bold, but not reckless, in updating pages.

To be bold and create the page with the missing link. I am seeking for individuals to contribute to the page, the current structure is a basic skeleton, requiring citations, statistical data, formative data, design and open discussions. That out of the way...

edit
  • There are still broken links within the page not directed to existing WIKI pages. I think we need some BOLD people to jump in and create appropriate School pages that follow GNU licensing, and Wikipedia guidelines. Any one interested?
  • Listed under "Links" there are several existing school links that redirect to external links.
    • These schools and URL's are in the wrong section. They should be listed in External Links not in the above section.

Is anyone going to boldly fix Links?

edit
  • I ask this, because I'm not sure who has taken Lead or Administrator of this page. I didn't see signatures as is required by Wikipedia guidelines.
  • I'm hoping that someone will respond, read my discussion entry so as to not create an environment of "perceived" Vandalism.

Appreciate Administrative or contributors responses so as to partly become a small contributer to these pages.

edit
  1. Need to be removed... or
  2. Need to redirect to internal pages... or
  3. Need to be moved down into the external links section
    1. or a combination of both move (copy) down to external links section, and redirect all schools ABOVE the External Links section to appropriate internal pages.

Cleaning up to increase ratings

edit
  • I truly believe that fixing up some of the structure, broken links, addition of citations and/or inclusion of images will greatly impact the ratings under "Quality" and "Importance"
    • Truly a good thing for Weslaco, and it's school district.

A Final Note

edit
  • I've recently gone into the Weslaco page and did quite of bit of re-organization in the Talks (Discussions) page as reference and guidelines to proper use or Wikipedia etiquette. Only like 3 lines, but they were complaints to each other of Vandalism. Hope to hear from someone.
