Why does this have anything to do with mammals?

I would think Skaven should be listed here, like the other were-rats. What i found surprising is the idea that wererats were originated in D&D, since i know that Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser novels by Fritz Leiber predated D&D and had wererats already. TLein (talk) 10:59, 31 July 2008 (UTC)Reply

Brad Steiger has written about wererat sightings in Oregon, mostly by children. Can we get a reference for this, or at least a little more information? Like in what book/magazine/web site he wrote it?
