Talk:Welly wanging

An important orthographic issue needs to be addressed edit

I notice that the title of the article is "Wellie wanging", but the body of the article uses the spelling "welly" rather than "wellie" -- in relating to the wanging activity described therein.

We need to get to the bottom of this. Multitudes of wangers world wide will want to weseeve (oops, I mean receive) some clarification. Unfortunately, having never engaged in any wanging activity myself (either in public or in the privacy of my own home), I do not feel confident enough to suggest which spelling is correct, or even to suggest whether both spellings are acceptable.

Note: I have only just become aware of this activity based on a news report this morning that Prince Harry, Duke of Sussex and Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, were enaged in a wanging activity of the the wellie (or welly) variety in Australia this week. According to the news report, on the occasion in question, the Duchess was a more successful wanger than her husband. Famspear (talk) 15:05, 30 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Oh, wait. One report says that the aforementioned wanging (of the welly/wellie, of course) by the Duke and Duchess occurred in New Zealand, not in Australia. (Sigh.....) It is obvious that I am not wise in the worldly ways of wanging. Famspear (talk) 15:10, 30 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

The spelling "wellie wanging" is not found in the article.--Johnsoniensis (talk) 05:04, 1 April 2020 (UTC)Reply
