Needs rewriting edit

This is not an encyclopedia article; it has too much verbatim quotes from his and other works. It needs to be written as a biographical encyclopedia article.

Pole was an interesting character and deserves a decent Wikipedia entry. However, this one isn't it. It contains too much personal opinion, presupposes acceptance of many of Pole's controversial ideas, and quotes from sources of dubious reliability like ufologist Brinsley le Poer Trench. Just a comment - after the fact - I've cleaned up allot of the quotes and converted much of the info conveyed into the article though it still needs work. There is also a sense I've picked up from some reading that the spiritualist books can be taken in two general directions and the language presented only takes one track. If I can find more third party reference about that I'll try to get that in.Smkolins (talk) 16:53, 1 December 2008 (UTC)Reply
