Earlier Versions edit

Odd; this page doesn't mention at all that Sanitarium wasn't always about a mental institution. The demo (that has half of Orion at the end of it) originally had totally different lyrics that seem to be about paegan religions ("Sacrifice with the goldenrod/Virgin flee to the newfound God/An offering to the diety/But the only things their minds will see/They see it right and they see it well/But they think he'll save them from their hell") This verse is repeated for the second verse instead of something else. It's different, is all... —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.72.213.106 (talkcontribs)

If you can source it, edit it into the article; otherwise, it's not legitimate(I'm not at all implying you're not correct, though). By the way, do you have any idea where I can find that demo? =D--SlayerBloodySlayer (talk) 00:38, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Fair use rationale for Image:Metallica - Master of Puppets.jpg edit

Image:Metallica - Master of Puppets.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 22:08, 5 June 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thrash? edit

Sounds more like a heavy metal ballad. 17:26, 14 February 2008 (UTC)

Metallica is considered the leader of the thrash movement, with Master of Puppets being their crown achievement. The album it's off of is a thrash album, and "Heavy Metal Ballad" isn't widely recognized as being an independent genre, so it's thrash. Besides that, the second half of the song is thrashier.

You're being too analytical.--SlayerBloodySlayer (talk) 00:34, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

B Side? edit

anyone know the b side of this? its just i read somewhere that there were no singles from MoP, and although the cover looks legit the b side(s) would help me to be sure that it is legit. thanks. There were singles from Master of Puppets....

And b-sides aren't required for a single.--SlayerBloodySlayer (talk) 00:41, 2 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

Will the real MOP single please stand up.... edit

The only legit single off MOP is the limited French 7" single of "Master of Puppets" released on Music For Nations/New Electric Way. The only legit promo off MOP is the US 12" of "Master of Puppets" released on Elektra. There are 2 variants of that promo, the difference being the matrix number ending in either SP or AR. That's it!
