I respectfully object to any deletion of this article because 1. it is properly sourced, and 2. it is a term of art and is often used in certain circles of the United States Marine Corps just as OODA loop and FUBAR are. Thank you. OddibeKerfeld (talk) 01:29, 25 October 2008 (UTC)
- My doubts to notability of this article are that the significance is to such a small circle of people... I've been in the Corps for almost six years and never heard of such a thing. Lots of units have thier own inside jokes, but that doesn't make them notable (hell, I could populate an entire book of the silly things my major says). Please see Wikipedia:Wikipedia is not for things made up one day. - Thanks for your service. I've been in 10+ years and have heard it quite a few times. It is sourced, but I couldn't find any links for them. Sorry. - I've done a Google search, the only hit is this article. The refs don't explain the term or its etymology at all. Based on that, I've added the prod template. If it gets removed, I will bring this to AFD. Argyll (talk) 12:46, 14 January 2009 (UTC)
- I'm sorry but I've got the hard copies of the original sources, but can't find them on-line. Its a real term and I've also personally heard it used in Iraq. It's certainly not as well know as some, but its real. Also, how is the article poorly written? OddibeKerfeld (talk) 02:36, 17 January 2009 (UTC)
