Firefox WebExtensions

edit

As I already said in Talk:WebExtension, WebExtensions should have an article. Nickps (talk) 20:47, 30 July 2017 (UTC)Reply

Primary sources

This article relies too much on primary sources (because I could not find secondary sources).Anton.bersh (talk) 07:40, 17 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Merge into Add-on (Mozilla)

edit

Since the term "WebExtensions" was coined only a few years ago by Mozilla, it really only applies to their own API for Firefox. So anything WebExtension-specific should be merged into the exisiting Add-on (Mozilla) article.

As for general coverage of API similarity amongst browsers, that's already covered in the browser extension article. (I used relevant portions of this article's content to write that a month ago.) -Pmffl (talk) 23:32, 9 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

I rewrote the Add-on (Mozilla) article today. It's now in much better shape and updated to be relevant for the current realities of Firefox, including its WebExtensions API. So this page now redirects to that article. -Pmffl (talk) 02:20, 10 February 2019 (UTC)Reply
