WeWork does not own any of "its" properties

"The New York-based startup does not own any of its WeWork or WeLive properties, but rather leases floors and buildings from landlords, improves the spaces, and then rents them back out."

Should we be changing the name of this page to We Company?

In light of the looming IPO that will garner this page a ton of interest, it looks like they changed the name of the company to We Company back in January. I'm asking for opinions as to the moving of this page. Whoisjohngalt (talk) 14:42, 6 September 2019 (UTC)

I wonder the same thing. Legally it's the name. The page should reflect the change. Post-move it could read: The We Company (formerly known as WeWork and still referred to by that name).... — Mainly 19:32, 18 September 2019 (UTC)

Pay 25% of company's value to get CEO to leave?

In September 2019 WeWork paid its CEO US$1,700,000,000 to quit his job. The total value of the company might be 8 billion, so they gave 1/4 of the value to this one individual. I added this to the lead.

Lots of media sources reported this as a strange and inexplicable occurrence.

I can't read the content of the WSJ article due to paywall, is your date for when the payment was made accurate? It wasn't reported until well into October. —DIYeditor (talk) 22:39, 29 October 2019 (UTC)

It might not be. The date was already in the article and I was sloppy about adding the payout date. All of the actions should probably be separate sentences - when moving around a billion dollars that triggers multiple media narratives and there is no reason to combine them. Connected contributor information

This article was tagged by Helpingcleanup in September 2020 for having a connected contributor. Normally, substantiating information is posted on the talk page for future editors, but in this case the only related COI info I can find is the comment in the flagging edit's summary pointing interested readers to a sock puppet investigation Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Yoodaba. Without more info, it's hard to tell which edits or editor triggered this flag - I read the investigation and only see WeWork mentioned once, next to blocked user Humblephi, who doesn't seem to have edited this article. Also, the IP address listed as a connected contributor at the top of the talk page hasn't made any edits in over five years. Camelcase?

The Company uses lowercase, Wikipedia follows its guideline and uppercases it, but why is the article written in camelcase? --84.132.144.110 (talk) 17:52, 29 March 2022 (UTC)

Fix the article please.

In all the edit warring going on in the last few weeks, this article is NOT LONGER an article. It is now just a massive list of bullet points.

We can see it is mainly an article, with prose paragraphs in this edit.
This edit did NOT just "restore updates with controversy in the lead this time", it TOTALLY changed the way the article is laid out.

It needs restoring to an article of prose, or it's just "a list of things that happened to WeWork" Chaosdruid (talk) 02:31, 2 April 2022 (UTC)
