I have added the neutrality template, because this article over simplify the advantage of water miscibility. Traditionally one of the reasons why oil replaced egg tempera was because of preservation of unused and/or pre-prepared paint. At first artists found out the higher pigment load of oil and that the paints could be prepared and kept indefinitely unlike tempera paint. In the traditional way, prepared oil paint could be mixed with egg mixed with water to increase the drying time and permit waiting less for each layers. Also aqua mixes have different adherences. I have started work on this article. I have added a few references but much still needs doing and in particular to wikify it GRALISTAIR (talk) 19:36, 21 June 2021 (UTC)
