Notable Waste Collectors?
Should Boy George really be recorded as a Notable Waster Collector? In my opinion, NO! Yes, he's a notable person, and it was well publicised, but in my opinion, someone doesn't become a 'notable waste collector' for just picking up a bit of crap up of the floor for a few days! - IMO a person who can be called "Waste collector" is a person who either
- Had the job for more time than the company test period (that would be 3 months where I am) or
- Obviously intended to keep the job when something came up breaking that plan (i.e. injury, death, waste company closing or other force majeure).
- To be a NOTABLE w.col. one must have done the notable thing while in the job as a w.col.

- OBVIOUSLY we need to consider whether or not it's encyclopedic to have a list of famous garbage men. Perhaps we should check some real encyclopedias and check to see if they mention famous garbage men. This observation may also be of note here: One sometimes wonders what dustmen think of their trade when they ply it, pursue it, work at it on a day to day basis. One day I was pleased to find out something about this secretive occupation, when I overheard a refuse collector passing my door say, "Oh, you are so beautiful!" Referring I suppose to the manhandling of his bin bags. A simple, casual throw away remark you may think, but still one of some relevance, especially to bin men, I suppose.
