Why does this page read like it was directly copied from an official website? On further inspection, it seems to me that User:Shultman directly copied large portions of this article from the official website. Unfortunately, this violates the implied copyright held by the Washington State Historical Society (in addition to the rules at Wikipedia), so I am going to have to revert all of User:Shultman's work to the latest version before his editing period. In addition, it seems that this is the only article that he/she has edited, ignoring the pictures that he/she has uploaded. Therefore, I hold those pictures in high suspicion, although I haven't looked at them. I'm sorry to those few who have edited after Shultman's edits, but I feel this is necessary. I am Sharon Hultman, the Webmaster and Digital Projects Manager for the Washington State History Museum and Washington State Historical Society, and I believe this page has been unjustly removed. The informational text posted was provided by Regena Kowitz, our Public Relations Manager, and the photographs were all taken by me personally. I attempted to upload with photos with the proper copyright provisions (free to use, but with credit included). No copyrights have been violated. My entry to Wikipedia (including all photos) received the approval of the WSHS Director, David Nicandri.
It is true that I do not regularly post on other topics, but I am qualified and authorized to post official information for my employer. WSHS is not a business looking to profit from our Wikipedia entry, but a registered 501(c)3 non-profit organization and an agency of the State of Washington. We serve the public, and my only intent is to provide our public with accurate and comprehensive information about our organization and activities.
I checked Wikipedia entries for other history museums, and I believe the entry I made is consistent with other similar organizations. If possible, I would like to contact you personally about restoring this page. I hope to hear from you regarding the restoration of the authorized entries I made to Wikipedia. Rewrite

I'm going to be visiting this place this weekend - this page is a mess and it's so sad because the citations exist. I'm stuck in my hotel room for the next few hours let me take a whack at it. Sgerbic (talk) 00:57, 12 August 2023 (UTC)

I spent a few hours on this and what you see is what I came up with. There is so much more to be done, opening day, people associated with the museum, see also and maybe external links. It's all easy to find but I just ran out of time. I've removed the stub and the flag as the page now passes that threshold. I'm leaving it to others to please continue to improve the page.Sgerbic (talk) 03:39, 14 August 2023 (UTC)
