Wondering how to edit this U.S. County Entry?
The WikiProject U.S. Counties standards might help.

Town of Kingston? edit

Is there any town of Kingston, Rhode Island? The R.I. state website suggests there isn't one; see e.g. the menu at [1]. If this is a fake town, perhaps we should remove this link from this page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ajd (talkcontribs) 22:04, 21 May 2004 (UTC)Reply

It's a village within the town of South Kingstown. There is an Amtrak station and a campus of the University of Rhode Island there. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 82.34.93.44 (talk) 20:58, 11 April 2005 (UTC)Reply
If it's a village within the town of South Kingstown, then the answer is no: there isn't any town of Kingston, Rhode Island, which is what I asked. AJD 21:23, 11 Apr 2005 (UTC)

History edit

It's unclear from the history who originally settled this county, and which colony they were allied with or administered by. -- Beland (talk) 16:32, 6 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Map edit

Repost from South Kingstown, Rhode Island looking for a broader audience:

Isn't there a small issue with the map? Isn't Jerusalem actually in Narragansett, so the town line shouldn't be drawn at the channel? http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/7/75/Map_of_Washington_County_Rhode_Island_With_Municipal_Labels.PNG agrees with this.
