Copyright issue edit

I added a "copyvio" notice on Dec 21, 2006, as the text was copied from http://www.warrawong.com, and warrawong.com explicitly claims copyright.

199.60.221.241 (talk · contribs) removed the notice on the same day, and writes on this page:

I am the webmaster for www.warrawong.com so I have the right to use the text there. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 199.60.221.241 (talkcontribs) 18:41, 21 December 2006

He/She wrote to my talk page:

I have also sent an email from warrawong.com to confirm this.

This claim sounds very reasonable, but http://www.warrawong.com/copyright.html still demands copyright notices. Following our copyright rules, I have to leave the decision to an administrator. (Our copyvio message explicitly states that such issues can only be resolved by administrators.)

The OTRS at wikipedia has had confirmation of permission under the GDFL. Hence I've removed the copyvio tag. Martinp23 21:36, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
There appears to have been a misunderstanding over the license - the owner is now going to re-write the article. Martinp23 21:55, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Reply
