"War of Iraq"?!? WTF? Hardly anybody calls it that, and few other wars are "War of <countryname>. "War in Iraq" is 100 times as common. Also, splitting this out without any discussion, let alone consensus seems very anti-Wikipedia. 198.104.63.141 20:44, 19 October 2005 (UTC)
- There are plenty "War of <place>" . Some example in wikipedia are: War of the Pacific, War of Schleswig, Caste War of Yucatán, and War of Canudos. "War in Iraq" is common ... and used informally to include various violent actions together ... ignoring that the war was the multinational troops against the old Iraqi regime. Splitting this out without any discussion, let alone consensus is very Wikipedia ... have you not seen the "Be Bold" statements? JDR 15:42, 20 October 2005 (UTC)

- The deletion nomination should be reconsidered ... as this article cover the technical aspect of the war ... the other article covers the informal use of "Iraq War" to designate the various seperate series of conflicts (The war, the insurgency, etc ...). JDR 15:41, 20 October 2005 (UTC)
- Perhaps this article should be merged with 2003 Invasion of Iraq the articles are similar in their scope. mhunter
