No, it doesn't. Walter Dorling Smiles was MP for Blackburn, and then MP for Down, and then MP for North Down, and then he drowned when the Princess VIctoria sank. His mother, Lucy Dorling, was Mrs Beeton's step-sister. Lucy's nephew was Geoffrey Dorling 'Khaki' Roberts, KC/QC, rugby international for England and member of the prosecution team at Nuremberg. Roberts was my own great-grandfather.
