editI have removed material about DWI and Jacobson's daughter's drinking problems as irrelevant. WBcoleman 20:04, 29 January 2006 (UTC)
Somebody please add sections to this article in accordance with Wikipedia Quality Standards
I've again deleted the section about the daughter's alleged drinking which is unsourced. Even if it were, could someone explain why this is relevant? Since someone wants drinking allegations in the article, I left in the material relating to Jacobson himself, even the POV crack about the doll. Someone else can take that out. Retirement
editIt should be noted that Walter Jacobson retired officially today (4/30/06).By That I mean he's now even leaving his Sunday morning segment --ShadowJester07 02:53, 1 May 2006 (UTC)
Then instead of leaving a measly note on the discussion page why don't YOU just add the note, lazy.
Meh, to busy with school work and LAX - I'll do it sometime over the course of this week probably. I was hoping someone else might be able to do it. --ShadowJester07 00:56, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
Myspace
editWhy doesn't somebody prove it is not Walter's Myspace. The page includes interesting information at any rate and is a good reference if you want to learn more about Walter. How would one even prove any way if it is Walter's Myspace or not?
- Why? Because the Internet is too anonymous. MySpace has been blitzed with several cases of child molestation from sexual predators who claimed to be teenagers. Most MySpace accounts for famous people often have an "official" and much more professional look. Furthermore, Walter is ~68 [1], not 56; I'm pretty sure the real Walter would know his own age ;-). This leads to another question, why would a 68 year old news anchor create a MySpace, an online community intended for teenagers and young adults.
- Oh yes, you could try to send a message to the owner of the MySpace (providing you have a MySpace account), although chances are the reply will come from a fan of Walter or an impersonator.

I sent him a message and he said he is Walter Jacobson!!
- Or he could be a man with too much time on his hand :-p Let's just leave the MySpace link out of the article. Most of its information is afformentioned in the Wikipedia Article --ShadowJester07 04:01, 14 August 2006 (UTC)
- PS, to anyone who may care, Walter will fill in for Roe Conn, on 8/18. The Radio show usually appears on WLS (890 AM), from 2 - 7 pm. Walter will appear with former partner Bill Kurtis.
Columbia University?
editDid Jacobson attend Columbia University New York (the Ivy League school) or Columbia College Chicago (the broadcasting and journalism)? The link currently links to Columbia University New York; however, seeing he's stayed in the midwest otherwise (Grinnell in Iowa and New Trier HS), just a reminder for myself to look into it or ask someone else to do it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.223.80.25 (talk) 21:32, 16 June 2009 (UTC)
