The Picture edit

That isn't Walking Street. It looks like the picture was taking from the north end of Walking Street looking eastwards along South Road. Walking street would be about 90 degreesto the right of where the picture is taken from. 78.144.110.6 (talk) 12:16, 17 February 2008 (UTC)Reply

The image is clearly not of Walking Street, and it has been deleted. Rak-Tai (talk) 04:59, 25 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Official Name? edit

Google maps appears to label the street in question "Pattaya Sai 1". Is that the official name? If so it should be noted. Qemist (talk) 12:50, 21 May 2013 (UTC)Reply

Currently I see "Pattaya sai nueang", which is Pattaya Sai 1 in Thai. Sai just means on the left, whatever that means.
The term "walking street" is not unique to Pattaya (in other words, it's not the real name of that street); many cities have streets that are closed off for weekly markets. Chiang Mai has two markets which are both called Walking Street by the locals, and "Night Market" by the tourists. Kortoso (talk) 19:41, 18 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
Sai here is สาย (rising tone), not ซ้าย (high tone). So it's "Pattaya Route 1", not left. --Paul_012 (talk) 01:06, 19 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
It would seem worth clarifying in the article that "Walking Street" is not the name you find on maps. Polly Tunnel (talk) 15:48, 19 January 2018 (UTC)Reply
According to Goole Maps Walking Street and Pattaya Sai 1 are separate streets 3km apart - Google Maps --John B123 (talk) 18:53, 11 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
