I hadn't dug into this too much before hand since it kind of took longer then I expected to bring all this together into something that seemed to be decently sourced and hit some major points but I looked a little harder at a source I found and it looks like it has some citations and more historical context which could be helpful fleshing out the article. Especially pages 10-17: https://dlnr.hawaii.gov/shpd/files/2015/05/HI_Honolulu_WaimaluShoppingCenter.pdf

It should also be noted I used "Asian" instead of "Japanese" because I wasn't sure if the sources that specified "Japanese" were right, and I'm unclear on his involvement in Waimalu Chop Suey and weather that means he's Japanese and opened a Chinese restaurant, he wasn't involved, he's part Chinese, or something completely different.
