Proposed merger

WOGR-FM is still an individual station. Unless it is like K-LOVE, where it simulcasts all programming from WOGR-AM, then yes, it could be merged. But if WOGR-FM has it's own newscast, commericals, weather forecasts, website, anything...then it is an individual station and not a satellite. - Neutralhomer • Talk • 01:35, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

Strong Oppose (as I noted on the Talk:WOGR (AM) page) since these are two stations with long distinct broadcasting histories and only a relatively recent overlap in ownership and programming. - Dravecky (talk) 02:32, 5 April 2012 (UTC)

They're a simulcast now but they have long, independent histories and simulcasts are rarely permanent. - Dravecky (talk) 08:07, 25 April 2012 (UTC)

The thing here is that WOGR-FM's infobox lists another callsign that was apparently in place for almost 20 years before it became a repeater of WOGR (AM). I'm by no means familiar enough with the radio market in question to know what the exact situation is here, but regardless of its current status the FM station clearly has a distinct history of some kind that isn't identical to that of the AM station. The question I'd want answered is, did it originate its own programming when it was "WNDN", or was it just a repeater of a different station than the one it's a repeater of now? If it had its own programming, then we should keep a separate article and expand it with more of that history — but if it was just a repeater of a different station, then we probably should just have one article which integrates a brief mention of the FM transmitter having formerly been a repeater of a different programming source.
