- Actually, yes, there is WP:OR in the content you recently added – specifically, WP:SYNTHESIS. The Salem source describes in limited detail the origin and/or meaning of the "Fish" brand used by many of its stations throughout the U.S. Does this description then also apply to Salem-owned & "Fish"-branded WFHM-FM? Probably. But the Salem source never directly mentions the subject of this article by name, so -- absent another source -- you are merely inferring the meaning behind this specific station's brand. You are taking a source which verifies one thing and applying it to something else: Salem uses the Fish brand for X reason, Salem-owned WFHM-FM uses the Fish brand, therefore WFHM-FM uses the Fish brand for X reason. More importantly, there's the issue of whether or not this information on the logo/brand, assuming appropriate sourcing is found, even belongs in this article. One could make a stronger case for including this in a "Fish" brand article or even the Salem company article. (I also can't help but wonder if you're at least somewhat motivated by a desire to remove the {{Expand section}} template, rather than finding truly relevant content to fill that section. I wonder this due to your edits immediately preceding this issue.) Regardless, please refrain from unilaterally making changes to the relevant content until we reach some consensus in this thread per WP:BRD. Levdr1lp / talk 17:42, 22 December 2014 (UTC)
- I didn't have anything in the article that specifically spoke about the meaning of the "Fish" name. Now before, I did have a brief mention of it (with a religious website as verification), but if you look at my most recent edit, that information was removed, as I made sure not to include it. All I had in the article was that Salem brands most of their CCM stations as "The Fish" - a fact verified by the Salem reference. Another small point, the use of the CCM acronym is also verified by Salem as shorthand for Contemporary Christian Music, so again that isn't something I just pulled out of the sky. Reiterating - there is no mention of any "meaning" of the "Fish" branding, only pointing out that "The Fish" is a common name used by most Salem CCM stations, a fact verified by my source.
