Thanks for posting this article, Engineerchange. I was going to start it years ago when I learned that this man and another politician from the Shenandoah Valley were somehow targeted and abused for breaking with the Byrd Organization during Massive Resistance. I instead started the article about his son, and eventually talked to him. However, he declined to elaborate, and died 3 years ago. Now I have either misremembered or forgotten the name of the Shenandoah politician, for Judge John Paul Jr. was already a judge and lifelong Republican and his namesake father (also a judge) had been a Readjuster.Jweaver28 (talk) 17:39, 17 September 2024 (UTC)Reply
