Early life

• "After receiving his doctorate, Nevils became a professor of rhetoric at St. Andrew-on-Hudson. He then transferred to the College of the Holy Cross as a professor of philosophy. Nevils moved to Georgetown" - What year did he begin all of these positions? The timeline is a little vague
  • I haven't been able to find a ref that lays out exactly when and for how long he was at each institution between the completion of his doctorate and his being named dean. Ergo Sum 19:57, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

• "He frequently hosted on campus receptions" - I do believe on-campus is hyphenated when it's an adjective.

  • I would speculate based on the years that a single term is 3 years, but the sources don't say this outright. Ergo Sum 18:35, 15 October 2020 (UTC)

• "and sought after preacher" - My gut instinct says this, too, should be hyphenated, for the same reasons as above.

Scranton

• The Homer refs says that Nevils arrived at Scranton on June 24. Which date is the consensus?
  • In my experience, I've usually deferred to the Woodstock Letters when it comes to dates. That ref accounts for a more detailed timeline, in which a first group of Jesuits arrived on June 24, and then Nevils followed them on July 7. Therefore, in this instance, I'd rely on Woodstock as the more accurate ref. Ergo Sum 20:01, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
• "Following the attack on Pearl Harbor, the university adopted an accelerated three-year curriculum" - The way this appears makes it sound like it occurred after Nevils arrived; however, Pearl Harbor occurred six or seven months before Nevils arrived, so the chronology is pretty fuzzy here.
  • I've rephrased the sentence to clarify that the program was in place during his tenure but had been implemented before his arrival. Ergo Sum 20:03, 15 October 2020 (UTC)
• "While in Scranton, he also served as a member of the boards of directors of the International Textbook Company, International Correspondence Schools, the International Education Publishing Company, the International Schools Company of Latin America" - You need an "and" before the last item

• The Catalogus source has a publishing date. I see 1906, 1907, and 1908 all appearing in the first pages, although since I don't read Latin I can't puzzle out from the context which one is the publishing date.
