Is movement number for Nazca plate correct? (given as "91 degrees" - movement measured in degrees?)

Is the previous value of 91 degrees for the movement of the Nazca correct? From the reference I added to Gripp and Gordon 1990 (page 1110), 91 degrees looks like the zeta-max for the Caribbean plate (ca), not the Nazca plate (nz). Zeta-max is described as “the azimuth of the major axis of the error ellipse” - whatever that means. For Nazca, the zeta-max is given as 178.

From the point of view of describing the ‘’movement’’ of the plate however, the relevant figure would seem to be the degrees per millions years (deg/m.y.) - omega in the chart. For the Nazca plate this is listed as 0.46. But again, I don’t know anything about plate tectonics geology other than “it is there”. Jimw338 (talk) 20:20, 26 May 2015 (UTC)
